The Archdiocese of San Francisco is fortunate to be able to offer more than $1,000,000 in scholarships each year. Grants are awarded to families living within the confines of the Archdiocese (Marin, San Francisco, and San Mateo counties), and are awarded on a need basis until funds are exhausted. This year, as in past years, the need is far greater than the amount that we have to award. The average income of the families receiving grants was slightly above the poverty level, and grants were awarded until all funds were exhausted. These programs exist to ensure that Catholic education is accessible to children who live in Marin, San Francisco, and San Mateo counties.
