September 9, 2019Holy Name Preschool is celebrating our eighth year of teaching young children in our Sunset parish! We are licensed for seventy-five children and we have a large staff of fourteen teachers. The majority of our families live in the Sunset. We are a community-based preschool as we celebrate the local businesses, landmarks and events in our neighborhood. One of our favorite local partnerships is with the San Francisco Zoo. Three times a year, the Zoomobile will come to our preschool and bring animals for our children to learn about. Their Education Team will do a short interactive presentation where the children sing and move to animal songs. Best of all, the children get to pet the animals! Some of the animals the children have enjoyed seeing are armadillos, tortoises, ferrets, chinchillas, hedgehogs and snakes. In the spring, the class ends the year with a field trip to the zoo.
